An exciting week in Brighton

in the fall, our 4th classes went to Brighton/england. We met at 5.30am in the centre of Graz at the bus station to start our journey. our first
stop was vienna airport. as you can imagine everyone was excited because for some of us this was the first trip abroad. We arrived at the
airport at around 9 o’clock and we took off at around 11 o’clock. When we arrived at the airport of London we bought some food which was
very delicious. then we went to Brighton by bus and that is where we met our host families. the first thing they showed us was their house and
how we can get to Brighton centre by bus.

on sunday we went to London by train. It is a beautiful city which is full of people. We visited Big Ben, Tower Bridge, the Buckingham palace
and some of the other famous places of London and of course we ate fish n’chips. in the afternoon we went to a free boat tour on the river
Thames and after that we went back to our host families. on monday we met next to Brighton pier where we started an interesting sightseeing
tour which ended at the observation tower. From the top of it we had a amazing view over the city and the sea. After that we had to go to an
english school, which was a lot of fun. on Tuesday we went to school again which was fun again. After school has ended we went to the chalk
cliffs and admired the seven sisters. They have a lot of chalk there, as the name already says. We stayed there for some hours because we
took the longer walk as the view was so amazing. Wednesday was an exciting day because we took a visit to the royal pavilion. This building
seems to come out of a fairy tale with all its decorations and furniture. After that - you guessed it right - we went to school again which was
fun as always. everybody was excited to go to Arundel Castle, a huge castle on a small hill (where some scenes of the Harry potter movie were
taken). But first we went to school again. on Friday we had a big treasure hunt through Brighton where we had to find things like a fish n’chips
store which just uses wooden forks. The winner team got a big box of sweets. unfortunately we didn’t win. After 9 days we went back home
and we arrived in vienna at around 10:30pm. We finally arrived at our much loved home tired, but happy at around 2:30am. For all of us this
week was a great experience with a lot of interesting and exciting impressions and we wished we could take such a trip once again.
